Human Resources Assistant

The Human Resources Assistant supports the daily HR functions within the facility and / or group homes, ensuring support of employee needs. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees with HR-related inquiries, including timekeeping, payroll, pay slips, paid time off (PTO), and various leave programs. Additionally, the HR Assistant is responsible for supporting payroll and assisting with key HR administrative tasks to support a positive employee experience.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, including payroll, timekeeping, PTO, benefits, and leave programs.
• Process payroll for all facility employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and state / federal regulations.
• Maintain and track Leave of Absence (LOA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests, ensuring adherence to timelines, approvals, and required notifications.
• Coordinate worker's compensation claims and administration at the facility level.
• Assist with recruitment and hiring processes, including drafting offer letters, coordinating background checks, and posting internal job vacancies.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with HR policies, maintaining accurate and organized personnel records.
• Support new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
