Vice President of Rehabilitation Services

Compensation
Salary range : $300,000.00 to $375,000.00 annually. Total compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and other incentives.
Location
300 First Avenue, Cambridge, MA (Onsite; Day shift).
Job Summary
Provides leadership and strategic direction across the MGB Enterprise, including inpatient acute rehab facilities, hospitals, and outpatient sites within Spaulding Rehabilitation. Aligns business units vertically and horizontally across the system, collaborates with academic, community, and Mass General Brigham strategic initiatives, and directs operational oversight of all rehabilitation assets in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategy, leadership, direction, and administration over value-based and fee-for-service rehabilitation programs (hospital-based acute care, IRFs, outpatient therapies).
Develop functional strategy to achieve business objectives, including growth, development, and innovation strategies aligned with key initiatives.
Maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders : Spaulding Hospital Leadership, Academic Medical Center Leadership, Community Hospitals, Medical Groups, Service Lines / Institutes, Population Health.
Develop and implement operating and capital budgets, controlling expenditures to promote growth and reduce cost of care.
Partner with digital strategy, information systems, and analytics to drive data-driven decisions and strategic partnerships.
Oversee quality, safety, and signature experience programs, ensuring standardization and defined care pathways.
Develop policies and procedures ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and accreditation regulations.
Implement new care models and payment models to optimize value for the organization and patients.
Lead talent succession and build a robust leadership team; manage human resources responsibilities for staff.
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Licensure & Certification
Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist in the applicable state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association (obtained within 90 days unless otherwise determined).
Education Required
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.
Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by state professional standards.
Experience Required
8–10+ years of experience within a complex integrated health care system.
5–7 years of experience managing staff and budgets.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation services and business strategy.
Experience within complex health systems with significant matrix / dyad reporting.
Experience in payor relationships and managing risk relationships preferred.
Experience in community-based managed care, case management, strategic and business development; budgetary responsibility.
