The Jeffersontown Civil Service Commission hereby gives notice of an application period for the position of Police Officer – Lateral Transfer.

The starting annual base salary for this position is $89,547.63. In addition to the base salary, Jeffersontown officers also receive an annual KLEFPF supplement of $4,562, and an annual education / military incentive of up to $1,800 depending on college credit. Total compensation upon your hire date is $94,109.63 - $95,909.63. All uniforms and equipment are provided and officers receive an annual uniform allowance of $1,368.36 after the first year of employment.

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) full years of experience as a law enforcement officer and meet, or have the ability to meet, the requirements of the Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) Act administered by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.
