Mechanical Field Engineer

Job Type : 12‐Month Contract

Location : Fort Wayne, IN

Pay Rate : $70–$80 / hr

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Field Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical and plumbing infrastructure within a data center environment. This role provides hands‐on support to construction and commissioning teams, with the majority of work performed onsite. Occasional remote flexibility is available.

You will work directly with the client’s Data Center Services (DCS) Project Manager . Initial training will be provided, and all team members will follow strict NDA and confidentiality requirements.

Note : This role does not require providing PE‐stamped or sealed documents.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer ( Degree preferred )
• Strong background with large‐scale HVAC , pipe fitting , chiller maintenance , and welding
• Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and mechanical field operations is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Services (25%)

Site Inspections (75%)

ACC training will be provided by the client.

Compensation :

$70 / hr to $80 / hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
