ESL Teacher

Description

In order to achieve our mission, Aurora teachers will :

• Adhere to the school policies around behavior expectations, with rewards and consequences.

• Align all teaching to our standards based curriculum.
• Inform all instructional decisions by using data as a classroom-planning tool.
• Submit weekly lesson plans for review.
• Participate in high frequency coaching.

• Do whatever it takes to achieve the mission of Aurora Collegiate Academy.

As an ESL teacher, you will :

lead small groups of students in literacy intervention curriculum with ESL modifications called Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI). This curriculum encompasses all aspects of literacy instruction including phonics, site words, comprehension, and writing.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university / college.

A state issued teaching license in the ESL subject area.

A willingness to complete all duties and responsibilities to the fullest.

A belief that all students can succeed in college and a desire to lead students to that outcome.
