Job descriptionWork in a Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting Night shifts (3x12 hours), 36 hours per week Typical patient ratio is 1 : 6 to 1 : 7, utilizing team nursing Level I Trauma Center patient population On-call and weekend shifts as needed Floating may occur to like units and campuses within 20 miles, though inter-campus floating is rare Block scheduling is not accommodated, but weekend block may be discussed during interview Cerner EMR used, prior experience preferred Provide care for a diverse medical-surgical patient population in a fast-paced trauma environment Team nursing model with collaboration among staff All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application; late RTO requests will not be considered During assignments overlapping Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's, candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 holidays or at least 1 if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment Returning employees must have a one-year separation before being eligible to return as travelers Required to provide proof of recent vaccination status Active TN or compact RN license in hand; pending license not accepted Minimum 2 years recent Med / Surg nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred At least 1 completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not accepted Prior experience in a large hospital setting required Level I Trauma experience required Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher accepted Current BLS certification Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
