    • Job Summary

    We are seeking a Bass Guitar Teacher to join our team! As the Bass Guitar Teacher, you will allow students to pick their favorite genres, while assigning music to those best suited to them. You will also schedule and supervise all rehearsals within the confines of Academy hours. Maintain all musical equipment, and attend staff meetings as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with and teaching students, excellent leadership skills, and a knack for developing young talent.

    Responsibilities

  • Choose, lessons, and musical performances based on the skillset and of available students
  • Hold auditions for each activity or musical, and assign parts as necessary
  • Schedule and supervise rehearsals within the appropriate Academy hours
  • Properly assess the skills of each student under your care, and work with each student to develop their individual skills
  • Stay up to date with trends in both teaching and the music industry
  • Attend staff meetings, as needed
  • Maintain all musical equipment, as necessary

    • Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching music preferred
  • Upright Bass is a plus, (But not necessary)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership and time management skills
  • The ability to make decisions under pressure
