About The Position

Job Description

Summary :

We are seeking a  qualified and experienced X-Ray Technologist  for a 13-week contract assignment at one of its acute care facilities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience, strong technical skills in diagnostic radiography across multiple settings, and a commitment to patient safety and care. Travel experience and the ability to adapt quickly in high-paced environments are required.

Responsibilities :

Perform a full range of diagnostic radiographic procedures in ER, OR, ICU, outpatient, and bedside settings

Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including GE, Philips, and O-ARM systems

Prepare and administer contrast media as needed

Apply radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures

Accurately document patient history and procedural notes using PACS

Provide patient care during exams, ensuring comfort and safety

Support trauma and portable imaging services as needed

Collaborate with physicians and nurses during interventional or fluoroscopy-guided procedures

Float to like units as needed to support department staffing.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education :

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience :

Minimum 1 year  of recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist

Prior experience in trauma Level I or II preferred

Prior experience in teaching or a community hospital setting preferred

License & Certifications :

ARRT (R)  – Required

CA CRT  – Required

BLS  – Required

ARRT (R)(CT) – Preferred
