Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for an Assistant Professor of Art with a Specialization in Digital Media to begin Fall 2026.

This is a tenure-track assistant professor of art (9-month appointment; with specialization in digital media) position. Primary duties will include teaching undergraduate art courses in Digital Media and developing curriculum in digital illustration, animation, 3D modeling, time-based media, and interdisciplinary practices. As a tenure-track faculty member, the successful candidate will maintain an active record of scholarly and creative work, mentor students, and foster a positive learning environment. A reduced load (2-2 for the first 2 years) is provided to new hires to allow them to focus on conducting creative work and research. Duties also include service to the Visual Arts Program including attending faculty meetings, mentoring students, assisting with management of the TAMIU Art Gallery, and conducting community engagement activities.
