Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Your Responsibilities :

As our Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our electrical and instrumentation equipment. Some of your essential duties will include :

  • Inspecting, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and repairing various electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments.
  • Monitoring meters, indicators, and gauges to identify any irregularities.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of operations software and hardware.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance on all control instrumentation.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
  • Completing work order cycles, documenting work performed, tracking time, and maintaining equipment history.
  • Diagnosing potential issues with plant electrical equipment.
  • Performing cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and adjustments as necessary.
  • Laying out, installing, and commissioning electrical equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, promoting good housekeeping practices.
  • Utilizing multi-craft skills to fulfill additional maintenance tasks as needed.

Who You Are :

You possess the following qualifications and skills :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • A collaborative team player who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to optimize equipment performance, minimizing downtime.
  • Extensive experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo, and Frequency Drives.
  • A professional demeanor with a commitment to teamwork.
  • Strong focus on safety and adherence to workplace safety procedures.
  • Willingness to maintain a tidy workplace and support good housekeeping practices.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
