Implementation of the agency treatment philosophy on the living unit.
Develop and implement programs and services that achieve treatment objectives for each resident.Promote quality services by supporting child care staff.Provide care and services for children as an integral part of the team.Qualifications :Screen foster parents prior to child placement using standardized assessment methods that meet legal home study requirements.
Require foster parents to undergo a medical exam, including a skin tuberculin test, before placement and at license renewal, unless health circumstances dictate otherwise.Ensure foster parents have the experience, characteristics, and temperament suitable for working with children and their families, providing care that promotes healthy development.Ability to teach youth care theory and practice to staff working directly with children.Knowledge of group processes and dynamics.Ability to lead and direct staff effectively.Motivate and collaborate with other professionals and agency employees.Interact with cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to the client population.Responsible To : Foster Care SupervisorPrincipal Accountabilities :Provide direct therapeutic services to children.
Train and proficiently use the Interaction and Motivation program, consulting with staff and applying it in work with youth.Ensure close supervision of children per agency standards.Page 2 of 2
Intervene judiciously in crises to ensure safety of children, staff, and property, following agency procedures.Maintain staff competence through ongoing development, training, and motivation.Assess each resident and develop a case service plan tailored to their needs.Maintain positive communication with parents, referral, and collateral agencies.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.J-18808-Ljbffr
