General Manager - Yi-Cha Korean Gastropub (Highland Park, Los Angeles)
Yi-Cha, is a Korean gastropub in Highland Park that opened in October of 2025. Yi-Cha offers a casual dining experience with a lively bar scene, blending the bold flavors of Korean cuisine with a fun, vibrant atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team, ensure smooth operations, and deliver exceptional guest experiences from day one. Bar Management Experience is a plus and will be highly valued as we are a Gastropub/Pocha reimagined.
Responsibilities:
• Lead all day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service in both the restaurant and bar areas.
• Develop and mentor a team of talented staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Oversee inventory, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain high-quality food, drink, and service standards.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply of ingredients and bar products.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, addressing feedback and resolving any service issues quickly.
• Implement and uphold all health, safety, and labor compliance standards.
• Collaborate on marketing initiatives, community outreach, and events to build Yi-Cha’s presence in Highland Park.
• Ensure an energetic and welcoming ambiance that aligns with our brand and vision for the gastropub.
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of restaurant management experience, with a focus on high-volume casual dining or gastropubs.
• Strong leadership skills, with proven success in managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Expertise and strong business acumen in inventory management, budget planning, and cost control strategies.
• Experience with bar operations, including drink menu development and managing bar teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, able to handle high-pressure situations with ease.
• Knowledge and passion for Korean cuisine and culture is a plus!
• Proficient in modern POS systems, scheduling software, and other restaurant technology.
• Flexible schedule, able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Bi-lingual in Korean and English is a plus.
