Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position with a CA license, night shift schedule, and a requirement for BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift position from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Possible float to nearby Summit ED (3 miles away)
  • Scheduling is posted in 4-week blocks according to department needs
  • Patient population includes diverse emergency cases
  • Epic charting experience is preferred
  • Assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of individualized nursing care in the ER
  • Provide patient and family education and support transitions of care
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with patients, family, and healthcare team
  • Modules and e-learning are completed during orientation with varying hours by specialty
  • Only one approved holiday request off is allowed during assignment
  • All required certifications must be in hand at the time of consideration
  • Locals accepted at a local rate

  • Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
  • Must obtain or have NIHSS certification during orientation
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Must complete Sutter WPV training upon hire
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel eligibility
  • Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
