American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of recent experience and strong proficiency in advanced cardiac cath and electrophysiology procedures.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designationAssignment in the cardiac cath lab department handling adult and pediatric casesDaily caseload per tech ranges from 7 to 20Perform procedures including balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, rotablader, left / right heart catheterizationElectrophysiology procedures such as arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, conduction studies, AICD and pacemaker insertion, LAA closure, Watchman, Tilt Table, Afib ablations (RF and Cryo)Scrub, circulate, monitor, and EKG duties expectedUses Cerner charting system; Cerner experience preferredDay shift schedule : 4x10s, 6 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PMOn-call required as neededNo weekends or floating requiredNo block scheduling; may be discussed during interviewParking includedTravelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligibleFirst-time travelers are not accepted for this roleNo RTO is accepted in contract; any time off may be discussed with the unit manager onsiteScrub color is any; professional attire requiredPermanent staff must wait a full year before returning as travelersSmoke-free facilityCompletion of pre-start and annual modules required; some modules billable up to 4 hours for Allied staffAnnual and pre-start compliance documentation due 10 days prior to start date\n \n Requirements\n
Active FL or compact license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent cath lab and electrophysiology experience requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredExperience as a preceptor requiredStrong proficiency with stenting procedures is requiredProficient in scrub, monitoring, circulation, EKG skills, and a wide of advanced cardiac cath and EP proceduresPass / fail EKG exam required (up to 3 attempts)COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions acceptedCerner charting experience preferred\n Benefits\n
