We're seeking an upbeat, professional, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our multi-specialty dental team in Hiram, GA !
A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental practice with locations in Cartersville, Decatur, East Point, Dalton, and Hiram . We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof-including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery -using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. We proudly serve both pediatric and adult patients , and we're committed to creating a welcoming environment and delivering an outstanding, memorable experience for every patient.
The Ideal Candidate
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-driven office
- Certified as a Dental Assistant (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresExplain office procedures to patients prior to treatmentProvide quality, compassionate care before, during, and after dental proceduresEnsure patient comfort throughout treatmentAccurately chart dental conditions and record progress notesDeliver post-operative instructions following treatment or surgeryTake dental impressions for study modelsPrepare, maintain, and sterilize instruments, supplies, and equipmentTake and develop dental x-rays; collect and record patient health historiesServe as infection control officer : maintain sterilization logs and ensure protocol complianceMonitor and document repairs for operatory and handpiece equipmentComplete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning)Assist with ordering and inventory of dental suppliesSupport recall and treatment plan reports as neededAdhere to all government, OSHA, and company regulationsProvide direct patient care across multiple specialties, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgeryQualifications
Previous dental assisting experience requiredExcellent chairside manner and strong communication skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to various procedures and techniquesTeam-oriented with a positive, "can-do" attitudeProfessional, dependable, and eager to growBilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus!Compensation
Pay is based on experienceSchedule
Full-Time : Monday - Friday, 7 : 45 AM - 5 : 00 PM4 days per weekBenefits
