Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality maintenance and repairs on automation, mechanical, electrical, and conveying systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve root causes of mechanical / electrical issues, executing repairs including welding, fabricating, plumbing, or part replacements.
- Conduct scheduled conveyor maintenance and optimize Preventive Maintenance Programs.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, components, and fixtures with precision.
- Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and various components for full functionality.
- Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, belts, pulleys, rollers, shafts, and chains as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and tools for optimal efficiency.
- Identify and rectify unsafe conditions while adhering strictly to food safety and biosecurity standards.
- Promote a safety-driven workplace culture and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance.High School Diploma or GED is required.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing devices, pneumatics, and hydraulics.Ability to comprehend and follow Standard Operating Procedures and technical instructions.Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling 75+ lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.Preferred Skills
Completion of trade school or technical training in mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical maintenance is desirable.Experience in food, poultry, or agriculture environments is a plus.Familiarity with Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety equipment (harnesses, hoists, PPE) is advantageous.Work Environment
This position requires working in a fast-paced industrial setting with exposure to noise, moving machinery, confined spaces, temperature variations, and wet / slippery surfaces. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses, is mandatory. You should be comfortable working at heights and outdoors as the job demands while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards.
