MECA Therapies LLC is looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our professional team.
MECA Therapies is the largest pediatric rehabilitation provider in the state of New Mexico. Our mission is to strive every day towards ensuring that our families and their children have access to the highest quality of care in the communities we serve.
The Physical Therapist provides services to include evaluation and treatment to individuals ages 3-21 based on diagnosed conditions. These services will be conducted within MECA Therapies Childrens Outpatient Clinic

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE :
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy or other previously approved degree level.
- Licensure from The NM Physical Therapy Licensing Board
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The PT will operate within Local, State and Federal Regulations as well as adhere to all MECA policies and procedures. Essential duties include but are not limited to :
CASELOAD ASSIGNMENTS
The PT will be assigned a weekly caseload from the respective program director for each program they serve
1. PTs will be considered full-time with 8 hours per day or the equivalent of 40 hours per work week, equating to 40 visits per week or part time equivalent.
2. Adjustments to caseloads / clinic hours are made in collaboration with the respective program director.
a. Caseload adjustments in regard to clients and direct client contact hours may be adjusted for individuals providing supervision for students or other therapists
3. PTs may be asked to complete CMEs through the FIT program as caseloads permit.
a. PTs must be IDA certified.
PRODUCTIVITY
Productivity for clinic therapists will be directly tied to the following :
DOCUMENTATION
The PT will accurately collect data on persons served and will ensure that the information is accurate and filed in a timely manner by adhering to the following :
Childrens Outpatient Clinic therapists are required to complete the SOAP note within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment
STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING
The PT must comply with all mandatory trainings identified by their licensing board as well as trainings mandated by their respective supervisor(s) and / or company by adhering to the following :
SUPERVISION
Certified PTs with experience may be asked to provide supervision for PTAs. Supervision will be provided according to the supervision guide from the PT licensing board. No more than 3 full time PTAs and / or Students or Observers, Technicians may be supervised at one time.
Providing Supervision to a PTA(s), Student or Observer as assigned
QUALITY ASSURANCE
