Senior Mechanical Engineer – MEP

About the Role :

A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in MEP design for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems and a deep understanding of industry codes, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the design, analysis, and specification of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for various building projects.
• Develop and review mechanical engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and local codes.
• Oversee project execution, including coordination with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and contractors .
• Conduct energy modeling, system evaluations, and feasibility studies to optimize mechanical system performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers and designers within the team.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration to ensure project goals are met.
• Stay current with industry trends, ASHRAE standards, and state building codes .
• Assist in business development efforts , including proposal writing and client presentations.
