Accounting Manager (Assistant Controller)

Job Summary / Company :

Sparks Group, partnered with a rapidly growing, prestige activewear company, is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Accounting Manager (Assistant Controller). In this role, you'll be the driving force behind financial operations, leading monthly close process and ensuring seamless productivity. Joining a collaborative, mission-driven team, this is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who is excited to help build and scale financial systems. Initially, this role does not have direct reports, but your responsibilities will grow as the company and team expand. Reporting to and working closely with the Controller, this role in-office at company headquarters.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the entire monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP. This includes managing key areas like inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
• Help the Controller implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support technical accounting research and apply GAAP principles to new business initiatives
