Herd Management Sales Specialist For Gea Milking Systems
The Herd Management Sales Specialist for GEA Milking Systems will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and driving sales growth within the automatic milking systems sector. This position reports to the U.S. Milking & Cooling Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the herd management solutions market.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth targets.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and GEA Herd Management Solutions dealers.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on client needs and market trends.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote GEA's herd management solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring they understand the capabilities and benefits of GEA's herd management systems.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent.3-5 years Dairy Management experience with herd monitoring software.Heat detection protocols, health management experience, reproduction experience preferred.Dairy industry Sales experience.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.In-depth knowledge of dairy farming practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.The physical demands, working environment, and protective equipment required described below are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including farms and industrial sites.Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel if required.Moderate physical demands, including handling equipment and tools related to automated milking systemsThe typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $65 - $88 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and / or equity awards.
