The incumbent will serve in a developmental assignment to provide the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the full range of duties described in the target position description, PD# 99385-S, Medical Administrative Specialist, GS-0301-09. The incumbent will perform the duties outlined in the target grade position description but will operate under closer supervision and will not be expected to demonstrate the same level of subject matter mastery.
Duties :
The incumbent serves as a Medical Administrative Specialist- Health Administrative Specialist on Duty (HOD) located in the Office of the Chief, Health Administration Service (HAS), or Business Office (BO), or Medical Administration Service (MAS), or similarly named and organized service; the position has both the authority and responsibility to represent both the Medical Center Director and the Chief, HAS on all administrative matters occurring when assigned to other than a normal tour of duty.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following :
Promotion Potential : The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Work Schedule : Work Schedule : 4 : 00pm- 12 : 00am or 12 : 00am-8 : 00am or 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm Nights / Weekends / Holidays. (Subject to change based on the needs of the Agency)
