Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Analyst II for the Office of Education at the New Jersey Medical School.
The primary purpose of the Administrative Analyst II position is to supervise and provide administrative support to the 3rd and 4th year required clerkships including integrated OSCE and Transition to Residency programs. Provides administrative support to the Executive Associate Dean for Education, in addition, he/she will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Education as required. This individual will also be cross trained to provide back-up support to other staff as needed.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists in reviewing all Year 3 and 4 clerkship programs and activities and in evaluating their administration, objectives, efficiency, effectiveness, and suitability to current conditions, costs, and goals, using established procedures and standards.
- Appraises the adequacy and effectiveness of the learning management systems utilized in the clerkship curriculum; assists in the development of the organizational structure and methods of operation necessary for the performance of existing, new, or expanded functions.
- Assists in the investigation and development of solutions to problem areas within the clerkship years, identifies and works toward the elimination of unnecessary and/or wasteful administrative practices and positions; helps to determine where program and/or administrative duplication may exist.
- Supervises and coordinates the work of assigned clerkship coordinators for Years 3 and 4. Recommends the hiring, firing, promoting, demoting, transfers and/or disciplining of employees and other personnel changes.
- Assists in the gathering, compilation, and interpretation of clerkship program data related to end of clerkship evaluations and required audits for curriculum review.

- Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years of responsible experience involving the review, analysis and evaluation of budgets, organizations, administrative practices, computer applications, and the recommendation of improved methods in a large business, government agency or educational institution.
- Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
