• Efficiently stages product with proper spacing and separation by item to ensure safe and organized storage.
• Returns load bars to trailers, lifts ramps, and closes dock doors as part of end-of-load procedures.
• Safely operates pallet jacks and / or forklifts to offload inbound trailers.
• Assesses pallet quality upon receipt and restacks or deconstructs compromised pallets to ensure safe racking.
• Correctly identifies all products and records accurate batch numbers and expiration dates.
• Reviews and inventories each purchase order (PO) for accuracy; documents discrepancies and obtains driver sign-off.
• Inspects trailers and inbound product for food safety concerns, including temperature and overall trailer condition.
• Collaborates with reach truck operators to move product to designated locations for safe and efficient storage.
• Understands warehouse layout and is able to distinguish between storage and wholesale warehouse locations.
• Efficiently offloads, receives, and expedites (runs) one truck in under 45 minutes.
• Properly identifies staged outbound loads and verifies load information before shipping.
• Confirms PO number and dock door assignment with driver prior to loading.
• Understands and applies appropriate loading patterns based on pallet weight, quantity, and trailer length.
• Safely loads product using a pallet jack or forklift, ensuring no damage or compromise occurs during the process.Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic reading, writing and math skills
• Customer service or general clerical office experience
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to stand in place for extended periods of time
• Ability to performed duties in a refrigerated environment (on average 30 degrees)Preferred Qualification
• Previous food service warehouse experience a plusSalary Range
• $19.00- $22.00 / hourShift :
• Tuesday- Saturday 9 : 00 AM- 5 : 00 PMPhysical Demands : The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by a Storage Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, sit, operate warehouse
• Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, perform fine finger movements, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to see, talk, and hear.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 100 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods with temperatures reaching -10
• Possess normal vision with or without correction and able to distinguish colors
