We are looking for an experienced Database Technology Manager to lead the design, development, and integration of data systems in a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on managing a small team of developers, ensuring seamless data flow between systems, and delivering high-quality analytics solutions. Based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, this position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies to support business operations and decision-making.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team of developers responsible for integrating internal and third-party systems.
- Organize and delegate development tasks to ensure timely delivery of effective solutions.
- Oversee the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of the company's DataMart using advanced Azure services.
- Monitor and optimize data pipelines in Azure Data Factory to guarantee data accuracy and efficiency.
- Drive integration efforts to ensure consistent and complete financial and operational data.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, datasets, and reports to support various business units.
- Guide automation efforts by creating scripts and utilities using languages such as C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Python.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards, including documentation and quality control processes.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to maintain data access controls and compliance standards.
- Partner with business units to translate their needs into technical solutions and provide training on analytics tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or ERP development, with 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, and Data Factory.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling and optimization.
- Advanced SQL skills, including query writing, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage system integration projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
