Responsibilities

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and provide skilled speech-language therapy to patients in a home environment, working under the supervision of an attending physician. Your setting could include single or multi-family homes, assisted living facilities, independent living, or memory care.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess and treat individuals with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication issues, voice disorders, and those requiring alternative or augmentative communication methods. You will often work with patients recovering from strokes or those dealing with progressive conditions such as Parkinson's disease and dementia.

Qualifications

1. Must have a valid state driver's license.
2. Must carry automobile liability insurance.
3. Seat belts must be worn at all times while driving.
4. Dependable transportation in good working condition is required.
5. Ability to drive in all weather conditions.
6. Current state license as an SLP in the state of employment.
