Description
Reporting to the Transportation Manager with a dotted line to Account Manager, the Transportation Warehouse Worker III is responsible for receiving, palletizing, vaulting, storing, staging pulls, and distributing goods, materials, equipment, and products within Corovan's large-size customer on-site location to fulfill work orders. They are accountable for organizing incoming stock, labeling outgoing parcels, and loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers. May serve as a lead to other warehouse workers and temporary staff.
This position will also have the responsibility to assist Project Manager with move duties and assist with fostering a positive work environment. In addition, this position is responsible to train staff to ensure quality work is performed, and most importantly, responsible to ensure the customer's complete satisfaction.
This position will also have the responsibility for assisting with strategies developed to improve employee engagement to foster a positive work environment for their team.
Primary job function requires exceptional customer focus while collaborating with their team to manage the company's operations and complete workflows on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Main Duties :
- May lead and direct the activities of assigned movers, warehouse workers, temps, or RL crews.
- Must be able to fully complete work orders as assigned, inbounds, outbounds, accesses and cross-docks.
- Loads and unloads trucks with loose, boxed, or palletized goods.
- Inspects goods for damage and verifies complete orders.
- Palletizes and / or un-palletizes goods.
- Pads, stretch-wraps and protects goods prior to placement in storage to prevent damage.
- Places and pulls goods throughout the warehouse via the use of a pallet jack, forklift, order picker or moving equipment.
- Sets, offsets, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and moves furniture, equipment and boxes as required.
- Properly loads and unloads trucks from loading dock, using ramps or on lift-gates to protect goods being moved.
- Completes all paperwork accurately and neatly and turns into operations daily.
Project Manager Assisting Duties :
Assisting PM's and Lead Technician's with various duties on daily moves and / or project move activity, such as, loading and unloading equipment and supplies, staging of equipment and / or retrieval of equipment at project location.Sets, offsets, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and moves furniture, equipment and boxes as required.Properly loads and unloads trucks from loading dock, using ramps or on lift-gates to protect goods being moved and may supervise others doing the same.Handles and stages product, performs detail work and trash-out functions on projects.Customer Relations :
Must follow all confidentiality rules regarding customer information.Assist with client inquiries and answers client questions with regards to payment history / balance, account updates and customer service issues.Uses a high level of professionalism in verbal and e-mail communication, always seeking to be helpful, to focus on problem solving and arriving at a win-win interaction.Maintain excellent customer service with the customers to establish solid relationships.If needed, handle customer complaints in a timely manner and escalate any pertinent matters to their manager.Promote Corovan's Mission and Vision Statements.Must be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and potential customers, by interacting with customers in person and via telephone, fax, and email to ensure complete customer satisfaction in all matters related to the operation.Maintain excellent customer service with the customers, vendors, sales, transportation, and operation teams to establish solid relationships.Training :

Assist with providing coaching and guidance to the Transportation Warehouse team.Provide performance feedback to department manager for each team member including any necessary coaching and counseling needed.Ensure employees adhere to meal and rest periods.Assist with organizing the schedules of employees.Partners with Human Resources to handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Update monthly department SMART goals in the Ally software program. Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality utilizing Six Sigma methodology. Ensure established policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.Provide leadership to the team and set a culture of engaging and respecting employees.Customer Relations :
Act as point backup contact person for all escalation issues and resolve them in a timely manner. Must be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and potential customers, by interacting with customers in person and via telephone, fax, and email to ensure complete customer satisfaction in all matters related to the operation.Maintain excellent customer service with the customers, vendors, sales, transportation, and operation teams to establish solid relationships.Training :
