Position Summary
The Supervisor, Sterile Manufacturing ensures efficient production compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) while fostering team growth and advancing sterile manufacturing processes to support Empower's mission of providing quality, affordable medications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises manufacturing to ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and quality standards, while managing schedules and daily activities of Sterile Manufacturing Operators in 503A or 503B facilities.
- Drafts, updates, and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documents for processes and equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Resolves production issues by identifying root causes, implementing solutions, and improving processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Leads team training, mentorship, and performance evaluations, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Oversees hiring, training, and onboarding, while promoting a positive company culture and alignment with organizational goals.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. Minimum of 5 years as a Compounding Pharmacy Technician or manufacturing operator in a cGMP environment required; 3 years supervisory experience preferred.High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate's degree is preferred.Benefits
