American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in a Level I Trauma Center, with Epic experience and trauma background required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma, teaching hospitalPatient population includes trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and patients with alcohol / drug abuse or complex medical historyTypical nurse to patient ratios are 1 : 3-4Shifts are 3x12 nights, either 1700-0530 or 1900-0730, including weekendsFloating required within the hospital, no floating to sister hospitalsUses Epic for chartingDuties include assessment, intervention planning, and provision of procedures such as moderate / deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C’s, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveriesNo accommodation for block schedulingNo call requirementsScrubs with no prints; provided in some areas such as ORModule completion required pre-start; average 3.75 hours for RN modulesOne week maximum for requested time offLocals accepted at the same rate as travelersFirst-time travelers are not accepted; 1 year of travel experience required if Epic experience is recentHoliday and weekend coverage required\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license required or pending application with licensing boardEpic charting experience and trauma care experience requiredMinimum 2 years of recent ED RN experience requiredExperience in a Level I Trauma setting preferredCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC preferredCOVID-19 vaccination proof required, no exemptions allowedTwo supervisor references from the past 24 months required (strict reference guidelines apply)Return staff must not have worked at the facility in the last 6 months\n Benefits\n
