Patient Financial Counselor

Description

Under the supervision of the Manager or Supervisor Revenue Cycle, the Financial Counselor provides clerical and administrative support which may include pre-registration, insurance verification, and price estimation / calculations for the 1206(l & d) Rendering Physicians for PMI, Facey, SJPP and OCHD clinics. The Patient Financial Counselor will be responsible for calling and / or meeting with patients to provide and obtain insurance and / or financial information. Will act as the primary point of contact for patients with financial questions regarding upcoming procedures / appointments being provided by the 1206(l & d) providers. Will work closely with Providence billing departments (Medi-rev) and is expected to help alleviate patient concerns from having to address billing questions with these entities whenever possible.

Required Qualifications :

• 1 year of Insurance verification experience.
