Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will spend 80% of your workday operating a sit-down forklift, with the remaining 20% dedicated to various tasks such as inspecting loads, building pallets, picking orders, and general cleaning. Your primary responsibility will be moving bins across different locations on the production floor. The role involves operating a single double forklift, capable of picking up two pallets at a time, and requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate sit-down forklifts efficiently on the production floor, primarily moving bins.
  • Inspect loads, build pallets, pick orders, and perform general cleaning duties.
  • Utilize NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices to manage operations.
  • Ensure continuous supply of juice for HPP processes and maintain organized bins.
  • Handle dunnage tasks, organize pallets, and load trailers as needed.
  • Accurately document pallet counts and ensure real-time data transfer using NetSuite or RF Smart systems.
  • Securely wrap pallets and document them to prevent damage during transport.
  • Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Provide empty bins for bottling processes and ensure conveyors do not back up.

Essential Skills :

  • 1-2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts.
  • Proficiency with computers and handheld devices.
  • Experience with RF Smart systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with production environments and filling machines.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience with data entry in NetSuite preferred.
  • Ability to follow company policies, guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Flexibility to perform various functions based on operational needs.
  • Experience in assisting supervision, management, leads, and operators.
  • Skilled in paperwork documentation.

    Work Environment :

You will be assigned to any of the three buildings based on daily needs, with proper PPE provided for colder areas.     Job Type & Location :

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, California.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
