Job Description
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in executing Ritchie Bros.’ corporate strategy by enhancing the productivity and effectiveness of our sales team. You will design innovative, engaging learning content and partner with internal stakeholders to drive consistency, efficiency, and performance in our training programs.
The role will require hybrid work out of either our Corporate Facility located in Westchester IL or our Regional office in Fort Worth TX. Hybrid work can be up to 3days in office.
What You’ll Do
Design & Develop Blended Learning Solutions
- Create engaging, effective learning experiences using a mix of delivery methods (eLearning, virtual training, instructor-led training, videos, job aids, etc.)
- Build professional, visually appealing training materials using instructional design best practices
- Identify opportunities to innovate and modernize existing learning programs
Apply Sound Instructional Design Principles
Ensure learning content is consistent, scalable, and adaptable across formats and programsStreamline content development to support integrated learning and performance support solutionsCreate reusable templates and tools to increase efficiency and drive consistent learning experiencesConduct Training Needs Assessments
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs aligned to business goalsAnalyze performance gaps and recommend training solutions backed by business rationaleDetermine the right learning strategy, format, and structure to address specific needsEvaluate & Improve Training Programs
Design, evaluate, and update training content to reflect current processes and business practicesLead content updates and version control to ensure accuracy and relevanceCreate supporting materials such as lesson plans, facilitator guides, and quick reference guidesCollaborate Across Teams
Partner with subject matter experts, trainers, and business leaders to build effective learning programsCreate and maintain a shared library of up-to-date learning content and resourcesEnsure internal trainers are equipped with high-quality tools, guides, and materialsCoach & Support Internal Team Members

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field (preferred)3–5 years’ experience in instructional design, ideally in a sales or corporate environmentProven ability to create content for diverse learning formats : ILT, virtual, eLearning, job aidsExperience with eLearning tools (Articulate 360, Camtasia, etc.) and Microsoft OfficeBonus : Experience with graphic editing tools like Photoshop or similarAdditional Details
