Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Leonardtown, Maryland (20650) – Southern Maryland healthcare jobs

Unit : Telemetry Unit

Contract Length : 16 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026)

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18 : 45 – 07 : 24)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks)

Orientation : 36 hours

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1710

Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience

Active Maryland or compact state Registered Nurse license

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation

Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred

Two supervisor references required

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Willingness to float to units of equal or lower acuity

Open to first-time travel nurses

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, MI, Atrial Fibrillation / Flutter, Stroke / TIA

Interpret and respond to telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmia findings

Deliver care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses such as renal failure, COPD, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, and sepsis

Assist with special procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous telemetry monitoring

Utilize safe patient handling equipment and ceiling lifts in every room

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response

Float to other nursing units as needed

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient care
