RN - Operating Room (OR)

Location : Syracuse, NY 13210

Duration : 14 Weeks

Schedule : Mix of 4×8-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM-3 : 30 PM, 11 : 00 AM-7 : 30 PM) and 4×12-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM-7 : 30 PM), totaling 80 hours biweekly

Pay Rate : $50-$60 / hr ($1,875-$2,250 / week)

Job Summary :

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Adult OR Registered Nurse to support surgical services at a community hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong OR experience and the ability to scrub. No call, weekends, or holidays required.

Responsibilities :

• Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures by functioning as a scrub and circulating nurse
• Prepare the OR suite, instruments, equipment, and supplies according to case requirements
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards
• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure smooth workflow during procedures
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and communicate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety
• Document perioperative care accurately in the EMR (EPIC preferred)
• Participate in room turnover and ensure readiness for subsequent procedures
• Support trauma, general, orthopedic, neuro, and robotics cases as assigned
