Starting Hourly Pay Range $16.00 - $20.00

Day Shift Monday through Friday 6 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm

PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered after 90 days of employment, 401K after 6 months

Overview : As a Materials Clerk for Keel Midwest, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments according to production and shipping schedules, as well as department priorities. While this position is primarily focused on utilizing equipment such as cranes and forklifts, you may also be required to maintain manual or computerized records and updating ERP systems accordingly. This position will assist the inventory manager.

Job Functions :

  • Reviews production schedules and related information.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements.
  • Identifies and tracks on time and overdue material.
  • Monitors materials and schedules for data integrity.
  • Assists materials team as needed with the flow of product throughout the manufacturing plant.

Work Environment : Manufacturing environment typical to a job shop machining center. Exposure to occasional loud noise, debris, fumes, and rotating machinery are expected. PPE required at all times.

Physical Demands : Must be able to operate forklift or other heavy machinery associated with materials coordination. No more than 50 lbs. lifting without mechanical assistance.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year in a manufacturing environment or similar.
  • Experience with using a fork lift highly preferred.
  • Must be organized, communicate well, and be able to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ideal candidates can handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
  • Computer skills are a plus but not required.
