Junior Accounting Professional
This is an opportunity for a junior Accounting professional to take the next step in their career and join the MarketAxess corporate accounting team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience. This role will be a vital part of the accounting and finance teams. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who strives for continuous improvement and challenges the status quo.
How You'll Help Take Us There
- Prepare monthly entries for Compensation and Benefits expense line items including Payroll, Stock Compensation, Bonus Accrual, and Employee Benefits
- Manage the administration of global equity plans including Equity Incentive Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and Share Incentive Plan
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding global equity plans and educate employees on tax implications
- Liaise with Legal & Compliance to manage equity plans in accordance with applicable securities laws
- Assist with stock compensation disclosures in quarterly and annual SEC (10-Q, 10-K, Annual Proxy Statement) filings
- Work with internal and external auditors to furnish requested information in a timely manner for the quarterly reviews, annual audits and internal controls testing
- Prepare annual benefit plan financial statements and footnotes
- Assist with special projects, as needed, providing answers on a timely basis to a variety of financial and accounting questions
- Support the month-end financial close process by ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and policies and preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for Comp & Benefits areas

Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
