Swiss-Type CNC Lathe Setup Specialist — Bellwood, ILRole Snapshot

Join a precision manufacturing team in Bellwood, IL operating advanced Swiss-style CNC equipment. This contract-to-hire role targets conversion after approximately six months. Compensation ranges from the upper $20s to the mid-$30s per hour, with potential up to $36 / hr DOE. Openings are available on first and second shift.

A Day in the Shop

Start your shift at a clean, quality-driven facility and take ownership of a Swiss-type lathe (Tsugami, Star, Citizen). You’ll set up tools and offsets, review drawings, and run first-article inspections before moving to steady production. Throughout the day, you’ll monitor part quality, make offsets, and troubleshoot to hold tight tolerances—keeping production flowing and documentation accurate.

• Set up and operate Swiss turning centers (Tsugami, Star, Citizen, etc.)
• Interpret blueprints and technical prints to determine process steps
• Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges for in-process and final inspections
• Adjust tooling / offsets and solve machining issues to meet spec
• Work independently while contributing to a zero-defect culture
