Overview

St. Luke Lutheran Community - North Canton is seeking compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our healthcare team. Full-time afternoons and midnights, part-time all shifts are available. The ideal State-Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living, and memory care. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those we serve.

State-Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Schedule - 8 hour shifts

Full-time / Part-time Days (7 : 00AM-3 : 30PM)

Full-time / Part-time Evenings (3 : 00PM-11 : 30PM)

Full-time / Part-time Midnights (11 : 00PM-7 : 30AM)

• Every other weekend / every other holiday (required)
• Availability of your preferred shift(s) will be verified at the time of your interview and can change at any time

State-Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.

Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, PointClickCare

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.

Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.

Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and developmental disabilities.

State-Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Qualifications

Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification is required.

Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina including lifting and moving patients.

Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Candidates who possess critical care experience, phlebotomy skills, or have worked in various medical settings such as urgent care or outpatient clinics will be highly regarded.
