American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with cardiac circulation and Level I Trauma Center experience for a hospital assignment requiring ACLS and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Operating Room of a large, short-term acute care facilityLevel I Trauma Center setting with a broad surgical caseload including ENT, neuro, and cardiac proceduresDay shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00On-call responsibilities include four weekday calls and one weekend of call (both Saturday and Sunday) in a four-week periodCall responsibilities include working in both NPOR during the week and SPOR for weekends and holidaysWeekend and holiday coverage requiredNo block scheduling accommodations are availableEpic charting system is usedRole involves circulating in advanced surgical cases including cardiac, ENT, and neuro proceduresFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyHospital provides required scrubs for this assignmentPre-start modules must be completed and are required annually by specialtyUp to 7 days of requested time off may be auto approved; extended requests require approvalReturning staff must have a two-year separation before being considered as a traveler\n \n Requirements\n
Active CT or compact RN license or ability to obtain before startACLS and BLS certifications requiredMinimum of 1 year of Operating Room RN experience with prior Level I Trauma Center exposureMust be able to independently circulate cardiac surgeriesDemonstrated competency with ENT and neuro proceduresTravelers with at least 1.5 years of experience considered if they have Level I or travel experienceFlu vaccine required with no declinations acceptedCOVID vaccine and booster required unless a medical or religious exemption is grantedNo prior permanent employment at this facility within the last two yearsApplicants must live at least 75 miles from the facility\n Benefits\n
