Compensation Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,130 - $2,190 Arizona Nursing Job Details Job Title : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Contract Location : Tucson, AZ 85712 Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Date : November 17, 2025 Shift : Day shift, 3x12-hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend (approx. 4 shifts per month) Orientation : 36 hours (multiple start dates available) Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Unit Size : 16 beds, average daily census of 14 Charting System : EPIC (preferred) Float Requirement : Required based on census Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Arizona RN license Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (completed within last 2 years) Experience with EPIC charting system preferred Ability to float to other units as needed Weekend coverage required (every other weekend) Supervisory reference required Travel nurses must reside outside a 75-mile radius from Tucson L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care Assist with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and procedures such as D&C, cervical cerclage, and tubal ligation Monitor fetal heart rates using EFM and IUPC; respond to abnormal patterns Administer medications and therapies (Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, insulin drips) Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education to new parents Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, and provide couplet care Educate parents on discharge instructions, car seat safety, and circumcision care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC Float to other nursing units as required Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
