Learning Specialist
The Learning Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of learning content in support of OrthoVirginia's leadership and talent development vision.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and deliver training and learning solutions for leaders and employees to accomplish performance objectives and develop leadership and management skills.
eLearning / LMS, virtually led, and in person classroom modalities
Consult with stakeholders across the organization to conduct needs analyses to identify skill gaps and determine learning solutions that meet the organization's needs.An initial emphasis on building self- and people-leadership and management skills
Apply existing knowledge of learning theories and models, modalities, and technologies to training solutions to deliver creative, innovative, and repeatable learning experiences.Responsible for delivery of weekly new hire onboarding sessions as well as classroom-style, and virtual courses for OV employees.Design overall learning curriculum, develop and maintain courses, job aids, training materials, handouts, facilitator guides, and eLearning.Responsible for building, managing, and assigning eLearning content in the Company's Learning Management System ("LMS")Collaborate and promote working relationships with key stakeholders to include business partners, HRBPs, and others.Participate as a key lead in designing the annual Leadership SummitDesired Experience :
Proven relevant work experience to execute the duties and responsibilities independently and confidently; proven experience in the development, management, and execution of leadership and development programsStrong understanding, application, and experience of adult learning and education including instructional design, employee development programs, knowledge and implementation of learning theories and models, and leadership developmentLeadership experience is preferredExperience developing and managing content in an LMS is requiredWorkday, Platcore, and Articulate 365 experience strongly preferred
