Senior Systems Engineer (Active Secret Clearance)

ASE, and Akima company, is looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer to serve a subject matter expert for USCG IT systems lifecycle management.

This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and training.

Provides implementation advice on complex problems that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.

From a computer systems standpoint, participates as needed in all phases of software and hardware development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, training, and presentation phases.

From a business process standpoint, provides technical advice, guidance and direction for the improvement, modification, and re-engineering of business processes, policies and procedures for any functional area under consideration or review.

Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific programs.

Directs the composition of / or composes and finalizes documentation.

Assist in development of USCG RF comms systems.

Provide technical and organizational expertise to USCG IT product line managers.

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

Four-year Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited University in the field of Engineering and Ten (10) years of C4IT systems engineering experience, OR

Master's degree in science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics with eight (8) yearsof C4IT system engineering experience.

Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Able to commute into office in a Hybrid capacity as needed.
