THIS ROLE
The Director of Digital Media oversees the strategy, planning, and execution of all paid and organic digital initiatives across Norton Creative’s clients. Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, this role leads both the social and digital media teams, translating client goals into measurable campaigns that drive traffic, loyalty, and brand engagement. Working cross-functionally with design, strategy, and account teams, the Director ensures digital and social efforts are integrated, data-driven, and optimized for impact.
EXPECTATIONS
Lead, mentor, and grow the digital and social media teams, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and measurable results.
Establish clear KPIs, workflows, and development plans for direct reports to ensure high performance and retention.
Serve as the primary digital media strategist in client meetings, presenting plans, performance data, and new opportunities with confidence.
Translate client objectives into actionable digital media strategies tailored to the restaurant and hospitality space.
Build and maintain trust-based relationships with clients, positioning Norton as a strategic partner.
Oversee development of integrated media plans across paid social, programmatic, search, and emerging channels.
Drive the integration of digital / social with other disciplines (menu, branding, campaigns, web) to create a unified guest journey.
Manage media budgets and ensure timely, accurate delivery of campaigns within scope and budget.
Develop and oversee robust reporting dashboards and insights, with a focus on traffic, engagement, conversion, and ROI for our clients.
Provide proactive recommendations for optimization, budget shifts, and new channel testing based on real-time performance data.
Translate analytics into clear, actionable insights for both clients and internal teams.
Keep Norton on the cutting edge of digital media trends, tools, and best practices.
Ensure all work aligns with evolving consumer behaviors, including mobile-first, loyalty programs, online ordering, and delivery platforms.
Contribute to Norton marketing efforts, thought leadership, and case studies to showcase our digital capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
6-10 years of experience in a digital media role, preferably agency
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with strong organizational / time-management skills
Working knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google AdWords, Programatic, PMAX, PPC and Digital Ad Buying
Experience in the restaurant or food service industry a plus
