RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and validate high-fidelity models using CFD or relevant simulation tools
- Translate physical understanding into digital prediction and design optimization
- Post-process data from simulations and real-world tests to inform future iterations
- Interface with cross-functional teams (e.g., GNC, structural, thermal, software) to guide engineering design
- Automate analysis workflows and contribute to internal tooling using Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages
- Own the lifecycle of your work from concept to final design validation
- Correlate simulation results to wind tunnel and flight test data
- Ability to assess aerodynamic impacts on system-level performance including stability, control, and thermal loads
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Advanced degree (M.S. / Ph.D.) in a technical field or related relevant experienceMinimum 4 years working in related role.Experience with CFD tools (e.g., STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, NASA solvers)Proficient in programming languages such as Python or MATLABKnowledge of subsonic and transonic aerodynamics, thermodynamics, unsteady flow phenomena, and aero-control couplingExperience analyzing unsteady aerodynamic effects and dynamic response (e.g., control surface deflection, fin-body interaction, fin-fin interaction, vortex effects)Familiarity with structural analysis or materials under extreme environmentsExperience in developing scalable, automated simulation pipelinesADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
