Overview
Node.Digital is seeking a Technical Writer to support a U.S. Government mission with on-site incident response assistance to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners affected by cyber-attacks. The contract personnel will perform investigations to characterize breach severity, develop mitigation plans, and assist with restoration of services.
Location & Schedule
Location : Arlington, VA
Must have an active Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance. Must be able to work on-site 0800-1630, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Developing and reviewing technical communications deliverables including cybersecurity documentation, operational procedures, plans, action reports, and meeting minutes; coordinate with Incident Management teams to obtain input data.
- Preparing, reviewing, editing, and maintaining program technical documents, standard operating procedures, work instructions, CONOPS, and internal team messaging.
- Maintaining statistical diagrams and charts of team engagement reports.
- Collaborate with technical analysts to translate complex cybersecurity material into clear, concise narratives for internal and external audiences.
Required Qualifications
U.S. CitizenshipActive TS / SCI clearanceAbility to obtain DHS Suitability5+ years of technical writing experience, including developing cybersecurity communications deliverables for internal and external audiencesExperience creating and maintaining government records related to cybersecurity activities, documentation, and SOPsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, and Google Workspace (GSuite)Strong technical writing and editing skills, including AP Style and / or government-directed style guidesAbility to work with technical cyber analysts to distill material into concise, engaging narrativesAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced cybersecurity environment to support timely product releasesPreferred / Additional Skills
Familiarity with cybersecurity terminology and conceptsExperience creating technical briefings, including executive leadership briefingsUnderstanding of different communication styles and formatsEducation
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in English or Business, or 5+ years of technical writing / editing experience with a high school diploma.
