Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Intermediate / Critical Care

Facility Size : 25 beds (ICU : 4 beds)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : December 22, 2025

End Date : March 15, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36 hours

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990 - $2130

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday required

Orientation : 2-3 days

ICU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Maine or compact state

Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience

At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

BLS and ACLS certifications required

PALS certification preferred (can be obtained if not currently held)

Experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication systems preferred

Ability to float to Med-Surg units as needed

ICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to intermediate / critical care and Med-Surg overflow patients (respiratory, cardiac, sepsis, COVID, diabetic, adult / geriatric, and occasional pediatric patients)

Manage IV drips, IV pumps, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and blood transfusions

Perform ICU procedures : starting IVs, venipuncture, EKGs, infusions, phlebotomy, patient transports, and weaning protocols

Collaborate with respiratory therapists and ancillary healthcare staff

Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR

Follow hospital dress code : any color scrubs, clean closed-toe shoes, minimal jewelry, neat hair / beard, no artificial / acrylic nails

Participate in team and primary nursing care models
