Advanced RN - Surgery Services

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing exceptional surgical nursing care. This role involves collaborating closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and surgical staff to support patients before, during, and after surgical procedures using sterile techniques and specialized equipment.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Experience

At least one year of acute care nursing experience is preferred to ensure readiness for the fast-paced surgical environment.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license valid in a Compact State or the state of employment.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities include : adhering to patient safety protocols such as infection control and safe patient handling, administering medications, performing nursing interventions, and educating patients and families. The nurse will conduct thorough assessments to monitor patient status, document care accurately to meet quality standards, and communicate effectively with physicians and team members to enhance patient outcomes. Delegation and teamwork are essential, along with adaptability to the evolving healthcare environment. Continuous professional development and critical thinking are encouraged to maintain high standards of care.

Physical and Mental Demands : This position requires considerable mental focus, frequent walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and various physical movements including standing, turning, pushing, and reaching. The work environment may involve exposure to infectious diseases and occasional challenging interactions.
