Security Officer - Full Time - Afternoon Shift

Security Officer

Urbana Country Club is a private establishment located in Urbana, Illinois. This location offers members private access to a golf course, resort, spa, gym, clubhouse, and more. The security officer position is full time and requires working the afternoon shift from Monday-Friday, 1400-2200.

Security Officers are dedicated security professionals with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a complex environment. Security Officers work as a team, patrolling the club's property via vehicle and foot and / or ensuring security at a series of fixed locations in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as club regulations.

Responsibilities include : serving as an operator in the conduct of static security posts, supporting the execution of plans in support of club operations, participating and assisting in conducting beginner, intermediate, and advanced security training, conducting research and analysis in support of club security missions, providing mobile security support as directed by security leadership, responding to emergency situations, executing security support as dictated by security leadership, executing roving patrols of assigned locations, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor, and learning advanced skillsets.

Requirements include basic qualifications such as a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and 4+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or corporate security. Preferred skills and experience include a bachelor's degree, military deployment and / or intelligence experience, aptitude for critical incident handling, CPR / first aid for the professional rescuer or BLS, computer-based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, extensive team-oriented and solo experience, an intense interest in protecting people, property, and information, foreign language proficiency, impeccable character / integrity, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to de-escalate disputes and / or conflict(s).

Additional requirements include the ability to work from 1400 to 2200 Monday through Friday, availability to work any schedule needed as circumstances dictate or as needed by security leadership, ability and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods and walk long distances, ability to wear approximately 10-30lbs of gear throughout an 8-hour shift if required, valid driver's license and clean driving record, and must pass a background check and drug screening.

Benefits include a starting hourly rate of $21.75 / HR. Your base pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
