About the Role :

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals at Brock's Gap Health Center by ensuring that medical processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for performing both administrative and clinical tasks, which are essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency. The CMA will assist in patient examinations, manage medical records, and ensure compliance with health regulations, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of employees. Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program (NHA, AMT, NCCT, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Additional certifications in CPR or First Aid.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow within the facility.
  • Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests as directed.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
