Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Field Sales Manager, proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a pipeline of potential customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, networking, and attending trade shows and conferences.
Create proposals for products, availability, and product uses that meet specific customer needs.
Deliver prepared sales talks that describe products or services, in order to persuade potential customers to partner with Penske for their transportation needs.
Learn how to build relationships with Penske customers and prospects by acting as a transportation consultant.
Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. Maintain records of contacts, accounts, and orders.
Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
