Within this role, you will be responsible for effective credit and risk administration. Additionally, you are responsible for adherence to credit policy and requirements. You will oversee financial analysis and modeling, risk evaluation, and ongoing portfolio maintenance activities. Lastly, you will provide client support for assigned portfolios of Business Banking clients. Primary responsibilities include :
- Ensuring all necessary credit files are present and up to date.
- Preparing and submitting internal reporting / compliance documents for assigned portfolio.
- Completing written summaries of industry issues and information.
- Assisting with processing loan modifications, tracking and collecting financial reporting, covenant compliance, and collateral requirements.
- Confirming the accuracy of risk ratings and changes as warranted.
- Developing solutions and alternatives to modifications, including financial covenant structuring.
- Engaging with existing customers on specific financial analysis or account management issues.
- Responding to questions from Credit independently.
- Identifying opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to existing customers.
- Managing assigned credits to present information in an organized manner.
- Managing the existing portfolio of straightforward credits / customers through verification and analysis of financial and collateral information.
- Using independent judgment and discretion to complete credit packages.
- Preparing relationship data on commercial customers / prospects and accurately identifying total bank exposure.
- Working with an assigned group of PMs in support of the activities noted above for moderately complex credits.
- Interpreting financial statements and making recommendations based on the analysis completed.
- Answering financial analysis or modeling questions for other credit analysts.
- Working independently to complete a whole AR or UW.
- Handling multiple accounts on your own, engaging in 1 : 1 client contact, and actively participating in risk discussions.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications, and / or Other Professional Credentials :
Proven experience in credit and risk administration, with a strong understanding of credit policy and compliance requirements.Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and risk evaluation, including interpreting financial statements and advising on findings.Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain business banking portfolios, including loan modifications, covenant compliance, and collateral tracking.Skilled in preparing internal reports, compliance documentation, and industry summaries.Capable of independently completing credit packages, including CPS, terms and conditions, cash flow and collateral coverage worksheets, risk ratings, and profitability models.Experience with straightforward credit structures, including those without public financials or complex securitizations.Strong judgment and discretion in credit decisioning and client engagement.Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities and present organized credit information.Effective communicator with clients and internal stakeholders, including Credit and Portfolio Managers.Comfortable handling multiple accounts and participating in risk discussions.Collaborative mindset with experience supporting moderately complex credits and mentoring peers on financial analysis and modeling.Hours & Work Schedule :
